You will learn the traditional painting techniques for painting facade tiles. With them you will be able to paint 2 replicas of facade tiles of Porto or your own personalized creation.

Itinerary

Azulejos are a very important part of the Portuguese culture and facades covered with them is one of the most beautiful heritages of the world.

During this Tile Painting Workshop you will have the chance to discover this wonderful art and paint 2 facade tiles, as it was made 170 years ago.
Don't worry, because no artistic skills are required :)

We will make first an introduction about the Portuguese facade tiles and its history. And then you will learn the traditional techniques of tile painting in Portugal to paint yours.

Every participant will paint 2 tiles. If you want to paint more tiles they have an extra cost.

* These workshops are made to support our project OS AZULEJOS DO PORTO, the only public catalogue of the facade tiles of Porto.
