The atrium is lined with twenty thousand pictorial tiles, representing evocative historical and ethnographic pictures.

The colored frieze that is all around the atrium tells the history of the means of transport in chronological order, from the beginnings until the appearance of the train. Underneath, large panels represent scenes from the History of Portugal.

The building is located in the historic center of the city of Porto, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Inside this building in Neoclassical style, we will find the great central patio, the Pátio das Nações, covered by a glass structure that lets light into the palace.

Going up a beautiful staircase of granite and marble, on the second floor we will go through spaces such as the Golden Room, covered with gold bread, the Hall of General Assemblies, which seems covered with wood, and some other rooms until reaching the most important, Arabic with more than 300 square meters of Moorish style.

It is one of the oldest squares in Porto, with magnificent views of the Douro River and Vila Nova de Gaia.

It is considered one of the most remarkable buildings of the classical European architecture of all time due to its church and its cloister, both circular and of the same plant size.

From its border terrace we have excellent views of the Douro River, the oldest part of the city of Porto and the roofs of the Port Wine Cellars.
