Stop At: The Douro River, Portugal

Travel to our headquarters in Paredes, about 20 minutes by highway. After a short briefing explaining the Renault 4L, we will start the great adventure to the Douro Vinhateiro and surprise you with the fascinating landscapes along the Douro River, at the wheel of these mythical vehicles.

The route will be by caravan. The driving will always be done in a safe and calm way, so that everyone can enjoy their own driving and at the same time enjoy the beautiful scenery around the circuit.

First stop Amarante, for a coffee and taste the local sweets. After this first stop, we will head towards Resende, along the south bank of the river, leading to EN 222, considered in a 2015 study by Avis Rent A Car, "World Driving Road". Close to the Régua, we will continue towards Lamego, where we will appreciate the beautiful landscape of the Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies. Depending on the time available, we will test wines from this region of the Douro. Descending on the EN 2 towards Régua, following some off-road routes.

Time for a delicious lunch typical of the region, savoring the local gastronomy. Begin the second part of the tour towards Sabrosa, continuing the route through historic villages and off-road paths with panoramic views of rare beauty. If the weather conditions allow it, possibility of a pause for some fantastic baths on the river bank. Stop for coffee and return to our headquarters in Paredes. Transfer to Porto.
