The Cavern of Coal is an ancient lava tube or volcanic vent located in the central part of the island of Terceira in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Furnas do Enxofre, Porto Judeu, Terceira Portugal

Furnas do Enxofre consists of an area comprising several outlets of aggressive volcanic gases at various temperatures, some quite high. It has a small pedestrian trail that allows you to observe sulfur smoke closely.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Trilha de Misterios Negros, Lagoa do Negro, Terceira Portugal

Here we will visit the famous Gruta Natal, Lagoa do Negro and the entrance to the trail of black mysteries. At this stop you have the opportunity to stroll through lava tunnels made by Mother Nature and see up close the Lagoa do Negro.
