Become a pirate for the day! We will be making our way to Wallilabou Bay - the film set of the movie, The Pirates of the Caribbean. Wallilabou bay was called Port Royal in the Movie. This tour also gives you a chance to visit some of the most popular and picturesque sights in St. Vincent. 

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Kingstown Ferry Terminal, St. George, St Vincent and the Grenadines

Our tour starts at the Kingstown cruise ship terminal. We will take you through our capital city Kingstown. As we drive through you will be shown and given information about some of the most historical buildings such as The Central Police Station, The Financial Complex, The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and also our Cenotaph.

Pass By: Kingstown Market, Bedford St. and Long Ln., Kingstown St. Vincent

We will be driving through our bustling market square where a lot of vendors and farmers selling their local produces.

Pass By: Kingstown Methodist Church, Kingstown St. Vincent

As we continue on through our capital city Kingstown, we will be driving on the street of the church or "back street" as it is locally called. Here you will be shown and given a brief history about the Methodist church as well as the Anglican and the Roman Catholic church.

Stop At: Fort Charlotte, Off Endinboro Road, Kingstown St. Vincent

Then we will journey on to Fort Charlotte. Fort Charlotte is a British-colonial era fort, built on a hill over-looking the harbour and enjoys a panoramic view of the Leeward side of the island, including Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia and also the famous island Mustique.

Stop At: Buccament Bay, Kingstown St. Vincent

After our stop at Fort Charlotte, we will then join the Leeward high, which has been renamed to the Nelson Mandela Highway. In passing you will get to see The Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, The Victoria Park - a small stadium which is also referred to as Carnival City during the Carnival season, The Botanical Gardens which is the oldest garden of it's kind in the western hemisphere, Our industrial area Campden park and then on to the picturesque Buccament Bay. We will be making a quick stop here for photos.

Stop At: Layou Village, North of Buccament Bay St. Vincent

A short distance to the north of buccament bay is the settlement of Layou. Layou was one of the first areas of settlement by the French, who were the first Europeans to settle in St. Vincent and The Grenadines in the early part of the eighteenth century. Even before then the Caribs used it as one of their settlements, as it is evident from the petroglyphs which are found in the area.

Stop At: Barrouallie, Leeward Highway St. Vincent

Our next stop is the fishing village of Barrouallie. Barrouallie was established by French settlers in 1719, the first European colony on St. Vincent. It was once the capital of St.Vincent and the Grenadines. With the rest of the island, it passed back and forth between the French and the British, finally remaining in the hands of the latter.

Within Saint Patrick Parish, Barrouallie is both the largest city and the parish capital. The area is known for fishing and is famous for "Blackfish". Due to the surrounding mountains, the town is shaped into a hole that has over time has protected the town from volcanic eruptions.

Stop At: Wallilabou, St. Vincent

Our Next stop will be the Wallilabou Bay where the opening scenes of the first movie of The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl were filmed. It is one of the most visited site for cruise ship passengers.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Wallilabou Heritage Park, Wallilabou St. Vincent

Just a stone throw away is Wallilabou Heritage Park which will be our next stop. It is a small waterfall. Large Samaan trees cover the pool and its adjacent areas, creating a relatively cool micro-climate for the core area of the park. These and other plants create a habitat for several species of birds.

Stop At: Indian Bay beach, Kingstown St. Vincent

Then on to our Final site is on the windward side of St. Vincent and will be the beautiful picturesque Villa beach.

It also has an amazing view of the Young Island Resort where Johnny Depp and some of his crew members stayed while they were filming The Pirates of the Caribbean. Villa beach also has nice bars and restaurants and good toilet facilities.

Here you can swim/snorkel so please walk with your swimming gears. (optional)
