Easy Hiking in High Tatras, self-guided with transfer from Bratislava

You'll hike and visit very popular places in High Tatras in 3 days. Waterfalls, mountains lake, famous huts, gorgeous views and many more.

We'll leave Bratislava town in the morning, because in the afternoon we want to do a first hike. Early afternoon we'll arrive to High Tatras, check in and go to the hills :-)

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Bratislava to High Tatras. Walking around ˆtrbské pleso village

Stop At: Strbske Pleso Lake, Strbske Pleso Slovakia
Easy afternoon walking around lake in ˆtrbské pleso village. Take a rest at your hotel.

You can go also to the lake Jamské pleso. In this hike, you will come to Jamské pleso from ˆtrbské pleso by the red marked tourist route leading up to the peak Kriváň. The mountain lake is hidden in the woods; it has beautiful color and the atmosphere there is very peaceful. The hike to the lake takes approximately 1,5 hours and the terrain goes up and down regularly and moderately, so the hike is very nice.

Day 2: The most beautiful mountain lakes in Tatras

Stop At: Tatras National Park, Tatranska Strba 75, Tatranska Lomnica 059 41 Slovakia
We will go to one of the most beautiful lakes in Tatras. At first, we'll visit the Popradské pleso with an amazingly looking lake and symbolic cemetery dedicated to victims of High Tatras. There are two mountain hotels near the lake, where we can rest for a while. From Popradské pleso, we will continue approximately for 2 hours to the biggest and the deepest mountain lake in High Tatras called Veľké Hincovo pleso.

Route: ˆtrbské Pleso - Popradské pleso - Veľké Hincovo pleso and back by the same route.

Duration: approximately 5 - 6 hours

Day 3: The hike to Skok waterfalls

Stop At: Waterfall Skok, Mlynicka dolina, Stary Smokovec 059 85 Slovakia
From ˆtrbské pleso, we will go to Mlynická dolina. It is a very nice hike, in which we will come to the waterfall called Skok just after 2 hours of slow and easy walk.

The hike consists of 4 kilometers of an easy, but also a little bit more difficult terrain in Tatras. The route is full of stones; it leads through the woods, dwarf pines and ends by the waterfalls. The hike itself is very interesting, and children will surely not get bored.

Route and duration: ˆtrbské pleso – Skok waterfalls and back approximately 3,5 hours.

After this tour we'll move to Bratislava/Vienna.
