Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg to Wildlife Lodge

Stop At: Manyeleti Game Reserve, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Sunset drive in the Manyaleti reserve
Duration: 2 hours

Day 2: Full day in Kruger National Park

Stop At: Kruger National Park, Malalan Gate, Nelspruit 1350 South Africa
Set those alarms for bright and early! It's time for your Safari experience in the Kruger National Park. Starting from Orpen in Kruger and driving through the central areas of the Kruger Park, your guide will show you the varied fauna and flora of this magnificent wildlife paradise. The open-sided Game Vehicle (with added elevation and absence of windows) allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Keep your eyes peeled for our famous Big Five animals (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo).

Dinner will be served and overnight in chalets at Krugerpark wildlife safaris Accommodation.

Day 3: Orphanage or Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre

Stop At: Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, R531, Hoedspruit South Africa
Your guide will take you on an early 4hr game drive around the game reserve. Breakfast will be served at the lodge. A late morning siesta is also a popular option.

At 2pm -

You will be taken to a local village or orphanage home where you will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the people in that area, their culture and way of life. Participate and help out around the orphanage or in the fields - you have the chance to sample delicious traditional foods.

OR...

Moholoholo rehabilitation centre. This wildlife centre serves as a temporary home for orphaned and injured animals, and you have the chance to be privy to a stage in their healing process. This is a home for many South Africa’s abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife and a highly regarded contributor to wildlife education in our country. It is also a home to bird species as well and some of the rescued lions from an Egyptian Circus. The centre has a long standing and successful serval breeding project, having bred and released over 160 animals back into areas where they have previously become extinct. You will find an array of animals including rhinos, lion, cheetah, leopard and wild dogs (one of the rarest animals to spot on Safari!)

Day 4: Morning drive/bush walk and return to Johannesburg

Stop At: Blyde River Canyon, Dullstroom South Africa
You have the choice between an early game drive or a bush walk. Bush walk: accompanied by an armed ranger., you have an excellent chance of encountering Buffalo, Nyala and other game on foot - you will be completely immersed in the wild! Experience the micro-world of the bush that is often overshadowed by the larger attractions of Safari - learn about insects, plants, and even track animal spoor ('tracks').

After breakfast you will depart via the panoramic route back to Johannesburg.
