For 9 months of the year Cape Boat Charters will take you out into the deeper oceanic waters off Cape Point.

As a result of two large ocean currents - the Benguela and Agulhas currents - mixing, as well as the prevailing winds, nutrient-rich waters are found at a place known to locals as the “Canyon” – this area is found close to the continental shelf, and it is here that we target the large tuna!

Itinerary

Few things can be as exciting as hooking and playing a huge Yellowfin tuna - it can take anything from 20 minutes to several hours to land a single fish! By that time, you are TIRED!! But you will never forget the experience, and you will have stories for your friends around the braai/barbecue for many years to come!!
