Welcome to Seoul, the city that never sleeps, but don’t worry you’ll have plenty of time to sleep and overcome your jetlag as we swiftly take you to your hotel from the airport for a day of leisure and comfort in a private car/charter bus prepared at the airport.

Day 2: Seoul ➜ Chuncheon ➜ Sokcho, an ideal location for healing retreat.

we take Ferry to get to the Island - the shooting place of ‘Winter Sonata’, is famous for its beautiful tree lined roads. Since it is not far from Seoul, many couples and families come to visit.

Day 3: Sokcho ➜ Gangneung, hassle free and largest coastal city.

Stop At: Gwongeumseong Fortress, Seorak-dong, Sokcho, Gangwon-do 217-120 South Korea
Gwongeumseong Fortress is the site of a castle ruins located on Seoraksan Mountain, and it is also known as Mt. Onggeumsan Castle, or Toto Castle. It is located on the steep Dolsan Mountain of Seoraksan Sogongwon area. It is believed to have been built by the 23rd King of the Goryeo Period (918-1392), Gojong (r. 1213-1259). Sogongwon Park → Cable car → Gwongeumseong Fortress: 1.5 km, 30 mins

Stop At: Sinheungsa, 1137 Seoraksan-ro, Seorak-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea
Sinheungsa (신흥사) is a short 10min walk away from the entrance to Sogongwon. In fact, many visit because of its close proximity to Sogongwon. Sinheungsa is a temple which used to be called Hyangseongsa, built by Jajangyulsa (590~658), who traveled to famous mountains all over the nation, in Queen Jindeok’s (?~654) 6th year of reign. It was destroyed and rebuilt many times since.

Stop At: Ojukheon, 201 Jukheon-dong, Gangneung, Gangwon-do South Korea
Ojukheon House was where Shin Saimdang (1504-1551) lived and where her son Yi I (penname Yulgok; scholar and politician of the Joseon Period) was born. It was built during the early Joseon Dynasty and remains one of the oldest wooden residential buildings in Korea. It was designated as Treasure No. 165 in 1963 and has been maintained by the descendants throughout the generations.

Stop At: Gangneung Seongyojang, 431 Unjeong-dong, Gangneung, Gangwon-do South Korea
Seongyojang is the former upper class residence of the Naebeon Lee (1703-1781) noble family of Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. It was designated Important Folklore Material No. 5 in 1967. The meaning of "Seon", in Seongyojang, is boat. Gyeongpo Lake was directly in front of Seongyojang at the time it was built, thus making is accessible by boat. Gyeongpo Lake at one time reached the enormous circumference of 12km. Its size has reduced by 4km over the years and its depth has decreased by 1-2 meters.

Stop At: Gyeongpoho Lake, Jeodong-gil, Gangneung, Gangwon-do 25461 South Korea
which means “clear as a mirror”, is located 6km northeast of Gangneung, and is also called Gunjaho Lake. Gyeongpoho Lake was formed when the mouth of a bay was closed by sand and pebbles brought in by the sea currents. It is famous as a destination site for migratory birds. It used to be a large lake with a circumference of 12km, but it diminished because of the accumulation of dirt and sand.

Day 4: Gangneung ➜ PyeongChang ➜ Suwon ➜ Seoul

Stop At: Phoenix condo in Pyeongchang, 174 Taegi-ro, Bongpyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea
A unique experience in which one can experience the taste of Korea, traditional food making experience - Royal Cuisine Bulgogi with vegitable and Bibimbap for lunch.

Stop At: Hwaseong Fortress, 910, Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do 16253 South Korea
Hwaseong Fortress is an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The fortress, constructed from 1794 to 1796, was built as a display of King Jeongjo’s filial piety towards his father and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power.

Day 5: Seoul ⇌ DMZ, Nowhere is the tension between North and South Korea more palpable than in the no-man's-land

Stop At: DMZ, Munsan-eup, Majeong-ri Imjingak Tourist information center, Paju, Gyeonggi-do South Korea
The highlight of today’s tour is the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone).
All of us will take tunnel train to go down the tunnel at a depth of 73m.

Located on each side of 38th parallel, this infamous border was established at the end of the war in 1953 at the signing Panmunjom’s armistice in order to separate North and South Korea.
Upon arrival, proceed to passport security control followed by a short introduction at the United Nations’ camp. Visit Dora observatory and Dorasan railway station. Discover Imjingak Park with the Memorial, the Liberty Bridge and the bell of unification. Late morning, visit the 3rd tunnel dug into the rock at a depth of 73m and able of moving a full division per hour with their weapons.

Stop At: Insadong, Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul South Korea
one of the most memorable attractions in Seoul. It represents the focal point of Korean traditional culture and crafts. Stores in Insadong specialize in a wide variety of goods that can only be purchased or appreciated in Korea.

Day 6: Seoul, Breath of Traditional Korean Culture

Stop At: Gyeongbokgung Palace, 161 Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul South Korea
Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace) Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful and remains the largest of all five palaces.

Stop At: Seoul City Hall, 31 Taepyeongno 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul South Korea
The reenactment of the original ceremony began from 1996. The gate guardsmen serve their sentry, perform the changing of the guards, and hold a parade. The guards' uniforms, weapons, and accessories as well as their strict ceremonial procedures catch the eyes of passersby, especially foreign tourists. Since it is hard to experience traditional events in such a big city like Seoul, the change of the guards ceremony is a great opportunity. It takes place every day except Tuesday.

Stop At: Gwanghwamun Square, 172 Sejong-daero, Sejongno, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea
On August 1st, 2009, the redesigned Gwanghwamun Square opened to the public. With the inauguration of the square, Sejong-ro, located at the center of the 600-year-old historic city of Seoul, was transformed into a human-centered space that harmonizes with the beautiful scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukaksan Mountain.

Stop At: Cheonggyecheon Stream, Seoul South Korea
The plaza also includes a model of Cheonggyecheon that provides visitors with a bird's-eye view of the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream. At the plaza, there are plaques that provide detailed commentaries on the 22 bridges that span the stream, as well as a number of graceful fountains that add to the ambience of the area. The area commemorates the Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project, and also symbolizes gathering, harmony, peace, and unity.
