The Valley of the Fallen is a Catholic basilica (Basilica of the Holy Cross of the Valley of the Fallen), an abbey (Abbey of the Holy Cross of the Valley of the Fallen) and monumental complex built between 1940 and 1958 and located in the valley of Cuelgamuros, in the municipality of San Lorenzo de El Escorial

The Valley of the Fallen was built to commemorate the combatants who died in the Spanish Civil War. The Basilica of the Holy Cross of the Valley of the Fallen is dug in the mountain itself.

There is the Santa Cruz which is 150 meters high and arms of 24 meters each.
