SRI LANKA Volunteer and Travel Program

Accommodation for 14 days during the trip at a Volunteer House/ guest house in Sri Lanka. All services from the time of arrival till departure included in the program. No need for the traveller to organise anything. Accommodation throughout the program. 3 meals per day as per local cuisine (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for the entire duration of the program. Welcome meeting and orientation. Talks & presentations on Vietnam & its culture, Social development and the role of volunteers, How to do volunteer work, Project activities, Cultural responsibility, Personal safety & Code of Conducts, General Local area visit and Local cooking demonstration on one afternoon. One local dinner with a host family. Also includes cultural activities and free time. Siteseeing to Colombo, Kandy, and Tissamaharama.

Day 1: Arrival

Pass By: Bandaranaike International Airport, Canada Friendship Rd, කටුනායක 11450, Sri Lanka
Arrival at Bandaranayke International airport and transfer to Idex accommodation. Settle down. No Meals included.

Day 2: Welcome Meeting and Orientation

Stop At: Idex Camp, Sri Lanka
Welcome meeting and orientation starts. Orientation includes talks & presentations on Vietnam & its culture, Social development and the role of volunteers, How to do volunteer work, Project activities, Cultural responsibility, Personal safety & Code of Conducts and Introduction to the alloted projects. Meals Include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Project Work

Stop At: Colombo Fort, Galle Buck, Colombo Sri Lanka
Project work starts with the daily schedule of volunteering, cultural activities and free time. Local cooking demonstration on one afternoon. One local dinner with a host family to experience everyday life of Regular Sri Lankan People. Meals Include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 4: Sightseeing

Stop At: Kandy View Point, Rajapihilla Mawatha, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
Sightseeing tour of Kandy. Only breakfast during excursions. All meals during the camp stay.

Day 5: Sightseeing

Stop At: Colombo Fort, Galle Buck, Colombo Sri Lanka
Sightseeing of Colombo. Only breakfast during excursions. All meals during camp stay.

Day 6: Volunteer Work

Volunteer Work with the daily schedule of volunteering and free time. Meals Include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 7: Jungle Safari

Stop At: Yala National Park Sri Lanka
Visit to Yala National Park. Only breakfast during excursions. All meals during camp stay.

Stop At: Bandaranaike International Airport, Canada Friendship Rd, කටුනායක 11450, Sri Lanka
Drive to back to Battaramulla. Transfer to Bandaranayke airport after 20:00 hrs. All meals during camp stay only. No meals included outside camp.
