5-Day southern Tanzania Mikumi and Ruaha safari

Morning after breakfast, departs to Mikumi National Park followed by game drives in the park, animals commonly found Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. Dinner and overnight will be at the Camp/Lodge.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park

:Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth – largest National Park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. Within its 3230 sq. km its set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the south-east. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons zebras, leopards crocodiles and many more just to mention a few.

Day 2: :Mikumi to Ruaha National park

Pass By: Ruaha National Park, Great Ruaha River, Iringa Tanzania
After breakfast checks out and launch the journey to Ruaha with lunch in Iringa Town this will take 3-4hrs, continue to National Park where you will arrive in the afternoon. Evening short game drives in the park or relaxation at leisure.

Day 3: Ruaha National park

Pass By: Ruaha National Park, Great Ruaha River, Iringa Tanzania
After breakfast you go for full day game drive in Ruaha national park with packed lunch enjoy your lunch on one of picnic site which your guide will choose.

Dinner and overnight inside the park at Ruaha Tourists bandas on full board.

Ruaha National Park covers an area of 20,000 sq. km and a vast and magnificent wilderness area and is Tanzania’s largest park.

Ruaha National Park is the home of largest population of Elephants, it also hosts Larger herds of Buffaloes, pride of Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Kudus, Grant’s gazelles, Wild dogs, Ostriches, Roan and Sable antelopes and more than 400 different bird species. The great Ruaha River flows through the eastern side of the park and is home of hippos, crocodiles and water birds.

Day 4: Ruaha National park

Pass By: Ruaha National Park, Great Ruaha River, Iringa Tanzania
After breakfast walking safari accompanied by an experienced guide, here you will have the

opportunity to ‘touch the wild’. Lunch will be at the camp/lodge. In the afternoon game

viewing drive, en route to Iringa Town for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: :Iringa/ Dar salaam

Pass By: Dar es Salaam Zoo, Dar es Salaam Tanzania
Morning after breakfast, short tour to Ismila Stone Age Site and depart to Dar es Salaam,

where you will arrive late evening and drop of at the hotel or airport.
