7 – Days Journey of the Wildebeest – High-End

This 7 Days Journey of the Wildebeest Safari – High-End tour is a very special tour that concentrates in the Serengeti, to follow the Great Migration. You will spend at least 4 nights in the park, usually two in the Central Area (largest concentration of big cats) and two where the Migration is according to the time of the year. We have designed this particular tour so that you finish the safari in the most remote location in the Serengeti, and then fly from there to your next destination. But we can redesign it to return to Arusha by land.

Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region

Although small in dimension (205 sq. miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and well famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, as well as to a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park also include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge amount of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that can not be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes. On this day we suggest a very early wake up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and then we’ll proceed to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha, or whatever your next amazing destination might be (i.e. Zanzibar). Alternatively, instead of this early morning game drive, you may choose to stay at the camp for a bit of relaxation.
