Founded around 1350, Ayutthaya became the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the eighteenth century. Its remains, characterized by "prangs" (reliquary towers) and monasteries of gigantic proportions, give an idea of its past splendor.

Here, you will visit a temple housing a giant Buddha before traveling through the historical park with your guide. You will learn the past culture of this ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam.
You will have lunch in a small local restaurant recommended by your guide before going back to visit the remains of several temples belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage.
Finally, you will end your day with a boat ride of about 40 minutes, then it will be time to take the road to Bangkok (1:30 after traffic).
