Jungle Kitchen - Half Day Cooking Class

Tamarind Tree cooking classes take you back to times where food was prepared and cooked using handmade tools and oldstyle techniques.
Guests cook in our pupose built kitchen surround by the sounds of the jungle.

Pick up from hotel / home around 2pm followed by a trip to the Jungle Kitchen deep in the jungle at Chilling Hill through the mountainous centre of Samui island.

Guests will be offered a welcome drink and a tour of the organic gardens and Durian orchard where some of the fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices used in the class are collected.

Cooking is carried out using traditional tools and techniques; no electricity is using in the class. Guests will learn to cook three or four dishes before eating their own creations on the kitchen balcony with views over the jungle.

Guests will then have a chance to relax, explore the gardens of Chilling Hill, take a drink at the bar or take photos in the beautiful light as the sun goes down before returning to their pick up location for about 7pm.
