Railay, also known as Rai Leh, is a large peninsula between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang. It’s accessible only by boat due to high limestone cliffs cutting of mainland access. These cliffs attract rock climbers from all are the world, but the area is also popular with beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere. The four main areas of Railay consist of Phranang beach, West Railay, East Railay and Ton Sai.

East Railay Beach is the docking paint for boats arriving from Krabi town, there is a commercial area along a boardwalk/promenade with many restaurants, bars, various services and lower-priced resorts than in West Railay. The most popular activities are Rock Climbing, Kayaking and Scuba Diving. Railay is the most famous destination for rock climbing in the southern Thailand. Travel to Railay is very easy by longtail boat, including pickup service at your hotel in Krabi Town. It’s about 40 minutes journey from the pier from Krabi Town to East Railay.
