Maithon Island is a beautiful tropical island just off Phuket’s east coast. Just 2.5 km across at its widest point, it is ringed by beautiful golden sands and nodding palm trees swaying in the breeze, as well as crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs. Sadly, since the island is privately owned, access to it is extremely limited. This does, however, mean that those who can get there will enjoy breathtaking natural beauty, entirely unspoilt by mass tourism.

At Maithon, exploring the beauty of the underwater world is just 10 steps away from the shore! Dive into the crystal clear water and discover a whole new world underneath; a thriving coral sanctuary that is home to 400 species of fish and spectacular marine life.

Relax and bask in the glow of the glorious warm sun by the shore and feel the waves as they touch the soles of your feet. Look out into the horizon and if you are lucky, you might spot some dolphins frolicking in the sea.

Pass By: Phuket, Phuket

Your adventure will begin when your driver meets you at your hotel reception and leads you to you transport that will be ready waiting to take you to the pier from which you will depart onward to your day of adventure and exploration.

Once you arrive at the pier, you will receive some refreshments including tea and coffee. You will be able to sit and relax as you enjoy your light snacks and drinks as you do, your guide will prepare the schedule for the day ahead and will explain to you and the tour group the itinerary and if any changes will be made due to weather or sea conditions. After this brief breakdown, it will be time for you to climb aboard the boat ready to set off to your first destination.

Stop At: Maithon Island (Honeymoon Island), Rawai, Phuket Thailand

After a short journey across the waves, you will arrive at Maiton Island. Maiton offers amazing snorkelling opportunities and thus, amazing photograph opportunities beneath the waves! Prepare to jump in and view the sea-life under the depths of the beautiful waters surrounding Maiton. If snorkelling isn’t your thing then you can simply relax on the white sands of Maiton and soak up the sun’s rays, or perhaps explore the shore a little with a beach walk?

After you have had a chance to unwind, it will be time for lunch that will be served to you as you sit and relax on the beach, soaking in the sights and sounds of paradise as you dig into your lovingly prepared meal.
After your delicious lunch, it will time for a little walk to the view point of Maiton. The views offered here are stunning and definitely worthy of photographing so be sure to pack the camera! You will have the chance to see the surrounding area of Maiton and the natural beauty of Thailand.

Once you have had the chance to absorb the natural beauty that the view point has to offer, it will be time to head to another beach where you will be able to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, snorkelling or simply sunbathing to work on your tan!
