This luxurious 4 day / 3 nights off-the-beaten track getaway, offers a glimpse into Thailand’s mystical past and its hidden natural treasures. We spend the first night at a boutique beach-front resort on the Gulf of Thailand, a place where rare pink dolphins still roam freely. The following afternoon you will head to higher ground to a riverside resort nestled high in the mountains famed for having the purest air in Thailand. From here, we then descend into the seldom visited province of Phattalung, to stay at a top eco-resort surrounded by ancient mangrove forests right on the lake of Thale Noi.

This is a unique getaway combining culture and pristine nature, you’ll discover a way of life rapidly disappearing in modern Thailand, where local people have coexisted for centuries alongside wild rivers, vast inland lakes and incredibly bio-diverse wetland ecosystems.

Itinerary

Day 1: Khanom Beach

Stop At: Khanom Beach, Khanom Thailand
Time at leisure to swim or just relax at the beach or the resort swimming pools
Duration: 3 hours

Day 2: Baan Kiri Wong

Stop At: Khanom Beach, Khanom Thailand
Pink dolphin boat tour
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Kiriwong village, Kamloan Subdistrict, Lan Saka 80230 Thailand
Visit batik artist workshops, traditional sweet and herbal medicine makers (depending on availability)

Swim or hike into the forest at a nearby waterfall or just relax at the resort's river view restaurant
Duration: 2 hours

Day 3: Thale Noi

Stop At: Thale Noi Waterfowl Park, Khuan Khanun Thailand
Sunset guided photographic boat tour on the lake to explore the wetlands, see water buffalo and many of the 180 species of migratory and indigenous birds that make their home on the lake
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Day 4: Thale Noi & Phattalung

Stop At: Thale Noi Waterfowl Park, Khuan Khanun Thailand
Early-bird sunrise lake tour on the lake in a traditional boat with several stops for stunning photos and morning tea/coffee
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Phatthalung Botanical Garden, Phanang Tung, Khuan Khanun District, Phatthalung 93150, Thailand
Visit traditional boat makers, explore the artisan village of weavers and mat / basket makers (private tour)

Lunch and shopping stop for locally produced goods, hand-made gifts and handicrafts

Stop at a local temple for a private guided tour
