Two Day River Kwai Adventure

Our first day, visit a lively Maeklong Train Market, colorful Damneon Saduak Floating Market, the Thailand–Burma Railway Centre (WWII Museum) to learn more about the history of the second world war in Thailand and pay our respects at the Allied War Cemetery, commemorating the POW’s that passed away while building the railway. Visit The Bridge over the River Kwai, the scenic located and original wooden bridge which we will cross by train. We stay overnight at the River Kwai to enjoy the fresh ozone and jungle air the area has to offer. On our second day, we explore what is called the ‘Hellfire Pass Memorial’. This part of the railroad got its name from the ghostly shadows reflected on the rocks of malnourished POWs working at night by the light of campfires. After all, we drive back to Bangkok.

Itinerary

Day 1: Train Market, Floating Market and the bridge over River Kwai

Stop At: Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (BACC), 939 Rama I Road Wangmai, Bangkok 10330 Thailand
General Pick up Area or Road:
• Asoke, Charoen Krung Road Soi 1-70, Chidlom, Chinatown, Khaosan Road, Pathumwan. Phayathai, Ploenchit, Pomprab, Pratunam, Petchburi Road from Soi 1 to Avani Atrium, Phranakorn, Ratchathewi, Silom, Sathorn, Siam Square, Sukhumvit Soi 1-33 and Soi 2-26.
• In case of the private tour, We'll pick up our passengers from vary location, please specify your pick up point after tour booking if that location deems to do so.
• In case your hotel is out of route, please inform us and we will suggest a meeting point and pick up time at the time of confirmation or we can arrange your transfer for an additional surcharge.

Stop At: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Damnoun Saduak, Ratchaiburi, Damnoen Saduak 70130 Thailand
To see the colorful floating market that the vendors come into the market by their gondola boat, to sell those products both farm's product and Souvenir

Stop At: River Kwai, Kanchanaburi Thailand
Arrive in Kanchanaburi province where the River Kwai is located. We have our Thai lunch.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, 73 Jaokannun Road BanNua, Amphoe Muang, Kanchanaburi 71000 Thailand
Visit the Thailand–Burma Railway Centre museum, where information and research is dedicated to the history of the Thailand– Burma Railway (The death railway), and the Allied War Cemetery which serves as a memorial to 6982 allied prisoners of war (POWs). These prisoners lost their lives while constructing the death railway and their remains were moved to what is now the allied war cemetery.

We visit the historical allied cemetery.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Bridge Over the River Kwai, Tha Makham, Kanchanaburi 71000 Thailand
We also visit the Bridge over the River Kwai which is part of the death railway and famous from the movie 1957 movie ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’.

We drive to our hotel and stay overnight in the fresh ozone of Thailand.

Day 2: Explore the Hellfire Pass War memorail and ride train along the death railway

Stop At: Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre and Memorial Walking Trail, 207 Moo 11, Tha Sao 71150 Thailand
After breakfast we drive to the hellfire pass memorial and walk along the old tracks where we can find some old and left behind materials. Walk along this historical site to discover what happened to the POW’s when they were working here during the war time.

Stop At: Tham Kra Sae Bridge, 71150 Thailand
We ride the train along the death railway and across the scenic original wooden viaduct that's built by the prisoner of war (WWII)
Duration: 30 minutes

We will end the tour program here unless your pick up location is in our pick up zone(area) or any other agreement made earlier or in case of the private tour which both parties could agree with difference condition
