13 Days Nature and Wildlife Tour

Experience an abundance of wildlife, scenery, and cultural experiences on this 13 days Uganda Safari. Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking are the highlight of this safari. There are also amazing opportunities of seeing numerous exotic animals like Rhinos, lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopard,elephants, and several species of birds. Enjoy the thundering Murchison Falls and the crater lakes is the western and southwestern of the country. This journey will bring you close to nature and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Pass By: Entebbe International Airport, 14 Kitaasa Rd, Entebbe, Uganda
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our guide picks you up for a transfer to a nearby lodging in Entebbe for overnight. Lake Victoria View Guest House is a simple but good decent hotel located in city suburb of the town and your room is self- contained.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Stop At: Paraa Masindi, Murchison Falls National Park Uganda
After breakfast, it is time for a long journey. After 176 Km from Kampala towards Murchison Falls, we shall branch off at Nakitoma trading centre to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. It is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild. It is home to 19 southern white rhinos which are ideal for rhino trekking.

After the nature walks and rhino trekking, lunch will be served and we shall proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and relax at the hotel on your arrival.

Day 3: Game drive & Afternoon Boat Safari

Stop At: Paraa Masindi, Murchison Falls National Park Uganda
Have breakfast and prepare for a beautiful safari to the northern part of the park. The drive will enable you appreciate the animal kingdom that comprises of Big herds of African elephants, Giraffes, buffalos, lions, among others with many tropical species of birds. Enjoy a boat trip on the Victoria Nile in the afternoon towards Murchison falls. Here you stand a great chance of spotting crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and many mammal species.

Day 4: Visit the Water Falls and Drive to Hoima

Pass By: Paraa Masindi, Murchison Falls National Park Uganda
Start the journey to the top of falls for the one hour hike that takes you to the 43 meters high and famous Murchison falls that welcomes you with a thunderous sound. This is where the world’s longest river explodes through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment. After the walk, we proceed to Hoima driving through the villages with beautiful Sceneries and have en route picture moments.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Stop At: Kanyanchu Visitor Center, Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park Uganda
Having nice breakfast is healthy for you before your journey to kibale forest. Your eyes have an opportunity to gaze at a scenic & beautiful green countryside, tea plantations and charming villages. Lunch will be served in a traditional restaurant in Fort portal town (The cleanest town in Uganda). Feel free to interact with natives during the walk through the market and later retire at the camp. The drive to the camp takes one hour as you spot some monkeys, birds and Baboons.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking

Stop At: Kanyanchu Visitor Center, Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park Uganda
Kibale Forest National Park is home to 13 primate species, the only National Park to see many types of monkeys such as the wonderful Red Columbus, Grey cheeked mangabey, Black and white Columbus monkey, L’hoest monkey and Chimpanzees. Track man’s closest relatives, the Chimps for one hour and the trip takes 3-4 hours walk through the tropical rain forest with the experienced guide.

After lunch, you will head to Bigodi for a swamp walk to spot some monkeys and bird species. The walk takes you through grassland, small communities where the natives are very enthusiastic to shake hands with foreign visitors as a sign of hospitality. You will visit the coffee plantations and gardens to appreciate their daily work.

Day 7: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
You will start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Uganda’s second largest conservation area base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain ranges takes off. This area have a variety of game such as Elephants, buffalo’s, water-buck, our national antelope (Uganda Kob) Lions, leopard, and many others.

The launch cruise on Kazinga Channel offers great chances to take pictures since the boat drifts slowly just by the shores supporting the biggest number of Africa Wildlife such as; Hippopotamus, over 613 bird species, crocodiles, elephants, leopards and many others At the end of the day, we drive back to the lodge to prepare for for your dinner.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive and Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
Wake up in time for your early breakfast and start with morning safari. The ranger guide will lead you in search for wildlife in the park under nice sunrise. Take snaps of different species of animals and enjoy the 3-4 hour drive depending on your interest.

Drive back to the lodge for hot lunch before you drive to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee walk.

Day 9: Drive via Ishasha to Bwindi

Pass By: ishasha sector, Entrance Gate, Uganda
Drive to Ishasha for game drive to spot tree climbing lions and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park known as the home of Mountain Gorillas. The location of the gorilla family you are visiting determines your accommodation facility!

Day 10: Gorilla Tracking day

Stop At: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda
This is the day that brings you closer to your big relatives, the Mountain Gorillas. Make sure you have your packed lunches, walking stick, protected rain gear to encounter with the gentle giants of Bwindi Park the Mountain Gorilla in Uganda. As the world heritage site, it also harbors different species of primates such as Chimpanzees, Blue monkey, African Green Broad-bill, Dwarf Honey guide, Purple-breasted sun bird and many others.

Day 11: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park & Afternoon Boat(optional)

Stop At: Lake Mburo National Park, Mbarara Uganda
Early breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and lunch options on the way. The park is very special with a variety of interests as it contains an extensive area of the wetland and it harbors different species of mammals including the zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos with different species of birds such as; Laliac breasted roller, Green pigeons and many others. Free afternoon.

Day 12: Drive to Kampala

Pass By: Lake Mburo National Park, Mbarara Uganda
Have optional game drive or bush safari walk and drive to back Kampala with a stopover at the equator for lunch stop. Visit the crafts shops and water experiment to show the difference between the northern and southern hemisphere and drive to Kampala/Entebbe for overnight.

Day 13: City Tour & Transfer to the Airport.

Pass By: Kampala Fair, 25 Bukoto Street (next to Alliance Française), Kampala Uganda
You will visit crafts shops at the National Theater, Taxi Park to see hundreds of taxis taking people around the country with the craziness of traffic jam in Kampala. There are also options of visiting the Gadhafi mosque, second largest mosque in Africa. In the Afternoon, you will start your journey to Entebbe to prepare for your flight. Here you will stay at the beach or relax at the swimming pool of Lake Victoria hotel and later transfer in the evening for your flight.
