3-Day Gorilla Trekking Fly-In Safari at Bwindi National Park

Encounter the mountain gorillas in their forest home at Bwindi National Park. We invest up to 25% of the revenue from tours into local community activities such as building schools, providing scholarships to needy students and rehabilitating health centres.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Kisoro Airport - Bwindi National Park

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kanungu Uganda
Take your flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airport. The flight from Entebbe to Kisoro will take about an hour. A Bamboo Ecotours guide will pick you up from Kisoro Airstrip and drive to Mutanda Lake Resort for check-in. In the afternoon, you will travel to Lake Mutanda for canoe trekking and birding.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Lake Mutanda, 20 Minutes Off Kisoro Town, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park P.O Box 280 Uganda
If time allows, you can do a canoe trekking activity at Lake Mutanda before transferring to Rushaga for overnight

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Bwindi National Park

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kanungu Uganda
You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The briefing will be conducted by the national park guide and will cover the basics on what to expect during the trek. It is at this point that you will be told which gorilla family to trek. It is likely that you will be joined by other visitors. The gorilla trek can take from few to many hours depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

Day 3: Fly from Kisoro Airport, Bwindi National Park to Entebbe Airport

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kanungu Uganda
A Bamboo Ecotours guide will pick you up from Rushaga Gorilla Camp at 5am and drive to Kisoro Airport. Take early morning AeroLink flight from Kisoro Airport to Entebbe International Airport. The flight from Kisoro to Entebbe will take about an hour.
