3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park

A 3 Day Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the most visited national parks in Uganda. Located in western Uganda, it is one of the few respected National Parks when it comes to game viewing, boat cruises, Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura, nature walks among other activities. Queen Elizabeth National Park is covered by the African Savannah, Crater Lakes, Kazinga Channel, Lake George and Lake Edward. Lots of animals can be spotted here such as Elephants, Lions, Hyenas, Leopards, Monkeys, Warthogs, Chimpanzee, Hippopotamus, Crocodiles and much more. The area around Ishasha in Rukungiri District is famous for its tree-climbing lions.

Itinerary

Day 1: DRIVE FROM KAMPALA TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK- EVENING GAME DRIVE

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
You will be picked from your lodge/place of residence early morning to drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This journey will take you through small towns along Kampala-Mbarara road. You will have an opportunity to see royal drum makers along the way, small markets and a stop at the Equator for stretching and photography will be worthwhile. Lunch will be served en route and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a short relaxation and an evening game drive if time allows.
Duration: 8 hours

Day 2: GAME DRIVE AND KAZINGA CHANNEL BOAT CRUISE

Stop At: Kazinga Channel, Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda
After an early morning cup of coffee or tea, you will drive to Kasenyi plains for your game drive. Kasenyi plains boosts of several wild animals whose chance of seeing them depends on your luck of the day. On a good day, you may spot big cats like lions and leopards hunting, buffaloes, elephants, several antelopes, warthogs and other small mammals. Return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Mweya peninsular for a two hour boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you will spot hippos, hundreds of birds of all kinds, some crocodiles, elephants and buffalos.

Day 3: RETURN TO KAMPALA

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
We shall have our breakfast and then the sad part of checking out and our journey back to Kampala which begins with lunch in Masaka and onwards to Kampala and depending on your time, you may decide to do another game drive before drive back to Entebbe/Kampala. On the way, you may decide to stopover to view some crater lakes and the rift valley floor and escarpments arriving late afternoon in Kampala or Entebbe.
