3 Days Gorilla tracking Bwindi safari, a lifetime experience in Uganda. Gorilla trekking Safari is mainly done in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in south western Uganda, The park covers an area of 321 sq km, thus one of the oldest forests that has lasted over 25,000 years. There are over 19 habituated mountain gorilla groups. The park is a habitant for other primates like; the red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, baboons, black and white colobus monkeys among others and also home to 130 mammals, 51 reptiles, 310 butterfly species, 27 species of frogs, geckos, chameleons, 163 tree species, 104 fern species, 1000 flowering plants, as well as over 350 species of birds such as the hornbills and the Turacos.

Itinerary

Day 1: Travel from Kampala / Entebbe to Bwindi forest National Park

Pass By: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda
Early morning depart from Kampala to Bwindi for Gorilla Tracking safari, an 8 hours drive, quite long drive but worth taking, while enjoying the countryside scenery of beautiful natures all the way to the Virunga massive with en-route stopover at the Uganda Equator crossing for photographic and simple experiment before proceeding to Mbarara town for Lunch. then embark on scenic drive to Bwindi National Park through Kabale to kisoro. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi forest National Park

Pass By: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda
An early morning breakfast, then transfer to Park headquarters to register while waiting for Gorilla tracking briefing by UWA park wardens and rangers about the dos and the don’ts. Once done grouping, you will trek through thick forest with your guides to find the Mountain Gorillas, taking like half an hour to six. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing ease of access. While trekking through the jungle, higher chances of spotting other primates, birds and rare tree species. As soon as you encounter shy mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back to the Park headquarter, because Gorillas are also wild and sometimes they can recharge.

Day 3: Travel back from Bwindi to Kampala

Pass By: Kampala Fair, 25 Bukoto Street (next to Alliance Française), Kampala Uganda
After your morning breakfast, you will be driven to Kampala / Entebbe, you will have an en route stopover at Igongo cultural center to explore the culture of Ankole region and then embark on drive to Kampala / Entebbe Airport.
