You will wake up a little bit earlier for your breakfast, then report to the Bwindi Forest park headquarters for registration and briefing, before you can go deep into the forest to track these amazing animals. A team of rangers is always sent earlier to the forest to confirm the location of the Gorillas before the guests are sent out. This is for easy allocation of the visiting groups and also to make tracking simpler and time conscious. After proper allocation of the gorilla families, the tracking guides will then take you through the forest pushing your way through the undergrowth of the Impenetrable forest to track the gorillas. The Gorilla tracking activity can take from 1 - 8 hours, depending on the gorilla family allocated and its location from the headquarters. This activity therefore requires a reasonable degree of fitness. Once the gorillas are located you will have one hour to watch them as they play along, feed, communicate, and many more.

If you happen to end your gorilla trekking early and still fit enough, you can take a community walk and see how the communities in this area live. Later, return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
