I have been working in fashion for the past 30 years, so enjoy a fun but professional fashion workshop with some light lunch.

Itinerary

In this workshop you will learn the basics of how to design simple and beautiful garments for yourself.
Making your own clothes has now become a sustainable way to dress yourself, away from the constant flow of sweatshop garments filling shop's shelves. Why not starting with designing them !
Designing is about feeling fabrics, trimmings and about understanding how they fit and fall on the body. We will provide you with one of our simple mix and match 'Love and Jam' sewing patterns so that you can make it into your dream outfit.
This will involve looking at trends, defining your designs and desires and creating your own fashion mood board. You will also pick up different shapes of sleeves, necklines etc. in order to customize your pattern. You will then hand stitch these on a ready made base.
You will leave with the Mix and Match 'Love and Jam' sewing pattern and a new outlook on how to design and make your own wardrobe.
This involves hand stitching.
