Surrounded by stunning and dramatic landscape, in an area steeped in history, myths and folklore you will be mesmerised by mystical and spell binding stories of the people who have shaped the very fabric of this amazing area throughout the ages. Our state of the art Boat has been named Iolaire; Gaelic for Eagle. She has a heated cabin and fitted with twin 300 Hp Evinrude engines capable of speeds of more than 40 knots (45 MPH!) - that makes her the BIGGEST and FASTEST boat on Loch Tay!
Iolaire can seat up to 12 passengers in comfortable, individual seats. With on deck viewing platforms, front and back, you can feel the wind in your hair and connected to everything that makes Loch Tay so memorable.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Kenmore, Kenmore, Perth and Kinross, Scotland

Depart from Peir road in Kenmore, where you will get a view of the unique Church and some stunning views down the loch. Hear about how they mapped and measured the loch and where the water starts its journey to the sea. We then head towards Queen Sybillas' Island.

Stop At: Fearnan, Fearnan, Loch Tay, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Scotland

Learn about Crannogs and how they discovered and investigated thier remains. Hear about how Loch Tay was formed and how these processes are still happening. The Loch Tay Fault Line takes a line through Ardeonaig and through Fearnan this is associated with the Highland Boundary fault line. In 2005 Killin was struck by an earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale. Listen to tales of past Fearnan residents and how the village has developed through the years.

Stop At: Lawers, Lawers, Perth and Kinross, Scotland

We stop at the deepest point of the loch to see Ben Lawers and hear about some of the interesting characters that used to live in it's shadow. Ben Lawers is the highest peak in Perthshire at 1214m and the 10th highest in the British Isles. It is designated as a natural nature reserve due to its abundance of rare alpine plants such as Alpine Forget-me-not and Roseroot. Owned and managed by the National Trust.
