Hyde Park is more than just host to the picture-perfect University of Chicago campus. It's also the home of the Rockefeller Chapel, the most beautiful chapel in the entire Midwest. Take a tour 271 steps up (yes, we counted) to the top for a carillon mini concert you won't soon forget! Oh, and the views! You haven't seen Chicago until you see it from 20 stories up with a view that rivals any downtown skyscraper! On this tour, we'll also take in the South Shore Cultural Center. Location of Barack and Michelle Obama's wedding reception and one of the few lakefront nature preserve and golf course, this gem has a history as rich as its sweeping views of Lake Michigan! This $30 tour kicks off at 12:15 and we return downtown at 6:30. The tour includes an "adult" hot chocolate, a mini concert and carillon tour, and of course a super knowledgeable guide!

Rockefeller Memorial Chapel is the home of one of the world's biggest carillons, and we will climb to the top of the tower to attend a carillon mini-concert!

We will tour the expansive, well maintained grounds and learn about the history of the South Shore Cultural Center, host to a beautiful lakefront nature preserve, golf course, and Barack and Michelle Obama's wedding reception.
