Flat Laurel Creek Trail Running Tour

Every guide on our team has developed an intimate knowledge of our national forest and can offer you an in-depth history to all the areas we run in. Originally owned by George Vanderbilt, Pisgah National Forest is the oldest of its kind in the eastern United States and holds deep historical relevance among several generations.

Though different than a hiking tour, our running tours accommodate any pace - even if you may consider yours more of a hike. It's also expected that we will stop several times for photos along the way.

Itinerary

The Flat Laurel Creek Trail Running Tour is one of our best beginner-friendly trips. Starting at 5k, this out-and-back run can be as short or as long as you’d like. The run follows a historic logging path that includes multiple waterfalls, dark forests, and some partial views of nearby Sam Knob. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a cold beverage beneath a massive waterfall just down the road. Lightly visited, this area also includes plenty of overnight camping options for tents or vehicles.

Between November and April, please contact us prior to booking to ensure this trip is available to book. Frequent and unpredictable road closures make access to the trailhead difficult during cooler months.
