Captain John has been driving boats since he was a teenager and has been fishing locally in LA for decades! The most rewarding part of running fishing charters is seeing someone catch one of their very first fish! I see the joy and elation on their face, and it allows me to relive the moment when I caught my first fish. I can't put a price on that experience, and I truly love sharing my passion with others!

Itinerary

You'll experience a private sportfishing charter in the beautiful Santa Monica Bay! In these waters, you're guaranteed to catch fish year round!

I'll bring you into my world and teach you about the region's fish and how to read the birds to find the best spots. Then, we’ll drop our lines and target Rockfish, California Scorpionfish, and Sea Bass to name a few.

We'll share strategies and techniques that will be helpful to beginners and seasoned fisherman alike. Along the way we'll likely see playful dolphins, California Sea Lions, and local whale populations. And on our way back we'll have world class views of the Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, and Malibu.

We'll fillet and bag the fish you catch for a nice meal to take home and enjoy while you relive the memories from our excursion.
