Waterfall Hike & Nature Walk

Due to temporary construction on Manoa falls trail, we will take you to the different trail to Nature garden walk & Aihualama Falls by Lyons Arboretum. On Saturdays & Sundays, to Manoa Falls.

The green valley consisting of the entire Manoa valley and towered by the magnificent Koolau mountain range is one of Honolulu’s most favored residential communities. Manoa is best known for its lush and tropical vegetation, beautiful waterfalls and rainbows and is rich in historic Hawaiian and multi-cultural heritage. Hike with a local guide, hike to the tallest accessible waterfall (150 feet) on Oahu. Located in what is known as the Rainbow Valley, the area is lush with vegetation due to near-daily rains, and rainbows after showers are common. Visit Tantalus Lookout for views of the Diamond Head crater and the Waikiki skyline. Finally, stop at a local bakery to sample malasadas, a Portuguese confection similar to doughnut holes. Please wear comfortable clothes & hiking shoes.

Stop At: Rainbow’s End Snack Shop, 3737 Manoa Rd, Honolulu, HI 96822, USA

We will stop here to get snacks, munchies, shaved ice or use the restroom before going on the trail.

Stop At: Manoa Falls, End of Manoa Road, Honolulu, Oahu, HI 96822

Mānoa Falls a 1.6 mile easy guided hiking trail, we will hike the trail to see the Manoa Falls, a 150-foot waterfall that empties into a small pool of water. The location is often referred to as the Rainbow Valley.

Stop At: Puu Ualakaa State Park, Round Top Drive, Honolulu, Oahu, HI

Visit famous Tantalus lookout (Puu Ualakaa State Park) 1049 ft, where you will see Panoramic view of Honolulu, forested area on a cinder cone close to downtown Honolulu. Lookout provides a sweeping view of southern Oahu from Diamond Head to Pearl Harbor, including Manoa Valley.

Malasada is a Portuguese confection. It is a fried food made of small balls of yeast dough coated with granulated sugar. They were first made by inhabitants of the Madeira islands.Traditional malasadas contain neither holes nor fillings, Malasadas are eaten especially on Mardi Gras - the day before Ash Wednesday.
