We will visit the Pio-Clementino Museum, pass through the Gallery of the Chandeliers and the Gallery of the Geographical Maps, see the amazing Raphael’s Rooms, the world-famous statues of Apollo Belvedere and the Laocoon. Together with you we admire paintings of the Sistine Chapel, visit one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world - St. Peter's Basilica.

St. Peter's Square is one of the most famous and beautiful squares in the world. It was designed and built by an outstanding Italian architect Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini. There were two important reasons for the construction of the square. Firstly, it was necessary to create space in front of one of the most important cathedrals of the Catholic Church for solemn entries of the pope and the various religious holidays, collecting a large number of believers. Secondly, the square attached great importance to the basilica and formed a harmonious architectural ensemble with it.

According to tradition, the Christians were severely tortured on the site of St. Peter's Basilica, in the arena which was in the gardens of the Circus of Nero. At the same place, in 67 AD, Nero executed the most beloved disciple of Christ - Peter. He was accused of heresy and was going to be crucified. But Peter remarked: "... I cannot be crucified as my teacher. Crucify me head down". After his death, he was buried in a nearby cave.
