2 Days 1 Night Mai Chau Nature Discovery

Located in Hoa Binh Province (Northwest of Vietnam), Mai Chau feature a great abundance of beautiful scenery and home to various mountain tribes (minority ethnic groups) of Vietnam. This 2 days program is going to excite and further stimulate your travel passion in exploring this beautiful peaceful region.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Homestay

Stop At: Mai Châu Hòa Bình, ĐT439, Piềng Vế, Mai Châu, Hòa Bình, Vietnam
We will be picked up at 8:00 am from our hotel and head to Mai Chau in the morning. We will leave the city behind and pass through a craggy, mountainous landscape. We will drive up a massive pass and end in the mountainous circus of Mai Chau around noon time. Lunch will be served in a local Thai house.
In the afternoon, we will have a small walk around Mai Chau valley before our quick transfer to the small remote village of Mai Hich. If the weather permits, we will have the chance to enjoy a short cycling ride around the village. Afterwards, we will return to the traditional house on stilts of our friendly Thai hosts for dinner and overnight.
Note: Our accommodation tonight will be provided by a local family in their traditional house-on-silts. There will be no private room and we will sleep on the floor on a large communal area. The sleeping corner is set up with a single mattress (thin, but adequate), blankets (ditto), pillow and mosquito net. The restroom is at international standard and a few steps from the main house.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Hanoi

Stop At: Mai Châu Hòa Bình, ĐT439, Piềng Vế, Mai Châu, Hòa Bình, Vietnam
After breakfast with a view, we can wander around to have a glimpse about the daily life of local people. Most of them are specialized in weaving brocade products and they are usually more than happy to show their skills to their visitors. The village works as a community cooperative organized by the people themselves.
We will be able to keep on exploring the surroundings till lunch time and in the afternoon, we will return to Hanoi with a new perspective about the rural life in Vietnam and bringing with us some fantastic memories.
