Da Lat Waterfall Adventure (Full-Day Tour)

Surrounded by a series of pine-covered hills, mountain passes, and hidden waterfalls, Da Lat is completely unique and different from the rest of Vietnam. If you are looking to explore what the region has to offer, join Onetrip on this Da Lat Waterfall Adventure that encompasses not only breathtaking sceneries, but history, culture and of course, delicious highland cuisine also. Who said you shouldn’t go chasing waterfalls?

• Your Onetrip guide will pick you up at your accommodation at 7:30 AM. After a cup of coffee and a quick Vietnamese breakfast to get your gears running, off we go. Tuyen Lam lake, one of the most picturesque lakes in Da Lat, is our first stop. The vast water surface is surrounded by rugged mountains and pine forests. Stopping here will set the tone for the day ahead: exciting and fun.
• Next, we will visit the Chicken Village, an oddball attraction that is home to some of Da Lat’s ethnic minority groups. A giant statue of a chicken welcomes you and as you explore the village, your guide will tell the story of two star-crossed lovers that will give you more insight into Vietnam’s history and culture.
• Your next stop is another village, one that is famous for growing different kinds of mushrooms. As you walk around, you will get a glimpse of the mushroom cultivation and harvesting process. You can even buy some–fresh from the garden– for your cooking adventures later.
• Next, we hit the road again and make our way towards the Pongour Waterfall. On the way there you will witness many beautiful coffee plantations, rice paddies, and wild sunflowers. As stunning as these are already, the Pongour Falls are bound to take your breath away. 100 meters wide and 50 meters high, this waterfall is made of seven separate levels of terraced rock and a big placid pool at the bottom. Take a couple of minutes here to recharge, watch as the dragonflies buzz around, and of course, snap some pictures.
• And then it’s time for lunch! A local family will be waiting to welcome us into their home and serve a delicious spread of authentic Vietnamese dishes family-style, so you can eat to your heart's content. Don’t worry about overeating because there are hammocks where you can take a nap.
• On the way back to Da Lat, we will stop by the Elephant Waterfall where you will enjoy exploring the area and getting sprayed by the cool, fresh water. Once it starts to get dark, we will head back towards Da Lat city and drop you off at your accommodation around 5:30 PM.
• Note: there will be an additional stop after the Elephant Waterfall to visit a coffee farm and learn how coffee gets produced here. Da Lat is known for producing some of the best coffee beans in the world thanks to its ideal highland condition. So, after a quick history lesson, we’ll make sure you’ll get to drink some as well.
