BOOKING FEE REFUND POLICY:
All tours from the "Hanoi Free Private Tour Guide" are provided at no charge. According to Tripadvisor policy, however, to enable us to post our tours' information and you (as a tourist) can book our free service on the website, you will be charged 1.25$ per booking at the minimum expense. Tripadvisor receives $0.25 of the $1.25 as a fixed charge for operating a business. The other $1 (in equivalent Vietnamese Dong at current exchange rate) will be refunded to you by our tour guides when the tour takes place.

Itinerary

Stop At: Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake), Hanoi 100000 Vietnam

Our tour guide will pick you up then we will start our Hanoi Old Quarter Walking Tour. The first destination of the tour will stop by Hoan Kiem Lake, considered the heart of Hanoi. You can observe many locals interesting activities such as playing badminton, doing exercises.

Stop At: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, 2 Hung Vuong Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam

Then, we head to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex. A traffic-free area of botanical gardens, monuments, memorials and pagodas. Within the complex are Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House and the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum and the One Pillar Pagoda.

Stop At: Temple of Literature & National University, Quoc Tu Giam Street Dong Da District, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam

Temple of Literature & National University is originally built as a university in 1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars and sages, the building is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture. Visiting the Temple of Literature you will discover historic buildings from the Ly and Tran dynasties in a revered place that has seen thousands of doctors’ graduate in what has now become a memorial to education and literature.

Stop At: Hoa Lo Prison, 1 Hoa Lo St Hoan Kiem, Hanoi 10000 Vietnam

Hoa Lo Prison ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. Most exhibits relate to the prison’s use up to the mid-1950s, focusing on the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France.

Stop At: Vietnam National Museum of History, 1 Trang Tien - no 25 Tong Dan, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi 10000 Vietnam

The museum is now housing over 200,000 objects and materials which are relics of Vietnamese history flowing from pre-history to the present. Among these, many are Vietnamese antiquities and 18 are recognized as Vietnam’s national treasures.
