Natural Cancer Cures and Treatments Finding natural cancer cures has revealed at least 81 different cancer therapies, all of which are gentler and more effective than "standard" chemotherapy and radiation. Why? Because they work for all cancers -- breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, leukemia and on and on by dealing with the CAUSE of the cancer.
The Best Natural Cancer Cures Based on Specific Criteria First, cancer fighting remedies must be readily available in North, South and Central America, Europe and the far East by Internet or phone ordering. Second, the cancer treatments must be documented with credible studies and statistics on human cancer patients. Thirdly, the cancer therapies are relatively inexpensive. Fourth, they should be compatible with and enhance "standard" treatment methods, which are chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and hormone therapy. |

A Few Adjunctive Cancer Therapies
Adjunctive therapies are used in conjunction with others. Most cancer patients are found to be deficient in selenium, so many doctors add it to their protocol. Therefore, it would be considered an "adjunctive therapy."
Cancer Detoxification The removal of toxins from the body, is considered by many clinics as a very important part of their treatment. A variety of approaches are used, to get rid of toxins in the body.
Nutritional Cancer therapy Two types or approaches are emerging. One is a specialized combination of nutrients used as a targeted cancer therapy, depending on the individual needs of the patient. The other, which also depends on the needs of the patient, is a more general approach seeking to boost health and strength. more.. |

ANTINEOPLASTONS These are amino-acid compounds (called peptides) found in the blood and urine of healthy people but which are deficient in cancer patients. They were discovered in 1967 by Stanislaw Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D., while a graduate student in Poland. In spite of fierce opposition by the AMA and FDA, many patients claim that their cancers have been controlled by this treatment. read more.. |

Cost Effective Lung Cancer Screening A CT scan could help detect lung cancer in its early stages. A new study showed the screening is a cost-effective option for high-risk patients. Diagnosing lung cancer before it becomes a more advanced stage is key to survival of the patient.
|
| While a CT scan can detect early lung cancer, researchers wanted to determine if it is a cost-effective option. A new study conducted by researchers at a School of Medicine looked at the cost-effectiveness of a CT scan for high-risk patients. read more.. |

Genes Increasing Cancer Risk Researchers have identified a gene that increases the risk of getting cancer. Investigators say this discovery could allow people to know in advance if they are at an increased risk for cancer and to take precautionary measures.
|
| The gene, called the Transforming Growth Factor Beta Receptor 1*6A (TGFBR1*6A), is present in nearly one in eight people. Researchers from a Cancer Genetics Program analyzed published studies to conclude that this gene is associated with cancer. Researchers say TGFBR1*6A may be to blame for 7 percent of all breast cancers, 11 percent of all ovarian cancers, and 5.5 percent of all colon cancers. These findings should put TGFBR1*6A on the map with better known cancer susceptibility genes such as BRCA1 and BRCA2 that have been implicated in an estimated 5 percent to 10 percent of all breast and ovarian cancers. more.. |

The Dangers of Smoking For many years we have heard about the dangers of smoking. Hopefully, the majority of people that read this have never smoked or, at some point, have stopped. For those of you who continue to smoke or have any family members or friends that do so, a recent article in the medical literature should not be ignored. |
| Researchers conducted a randomized cross-over study documenting the effects of smoking a single cigarette. Twenty smokers participated in this study. Individuals were first given a sham cigarette to smoke and, not unexpectedly, this produced no significant changes in any of the assayed parameters. When they were then given a single real cigarette to smoke, the concentrations of ascorbic acid and other antioxidants were significantly lowered along with a significant decrease in nitrate and nitrite plasma concentrations. What was not measured was the potential adverse effects of second hand smoke. Many studies in the past have indicated that family members and individuals exposed to second hand smoke have greatly increased risks of cancer and heart disease. read more.. |
