Declared a national park in 1966, the Theth National Park covers an area of 2,630 hectares. The river Theth that winds though this protected centre of outstanding natural beauty. Walk though this lush, green, and inviting landscape that is a must-see when visiting Albania. Located 4 hours from the city of Shkodër a hike through this national park is certain to calm and refresh your mind.

The Theth and Valbonë Two-Night Hiking Trip is one of our most popular hiking excursions. During the hike you will be able to swim in azure blue water, view the stunning Albanian Alps and take in the clean mountain air in this sparsely populated area. This pristine forest area is also home to over 1500 plants and trees with 70 of them endangered. The rare wildlife in this National Park include Brown Bear, Lynx and Golden Eagle.

The transfers include a relaxing boat trip on Koman Lake on day 3.

This tour is not suitable for children.

The hike is self guided.

Itinerary

Day 1: Travel and exploring Theth

Stop At: Theth National Park, Rruga Nikgjonaj Rruga Nikgjonaj, Nr.18, Theth 4009 Albania
Leaving Shkoder around 9am we will go to Theth and enjoy lunch at a local guesthouse. You can then explore the caves, waterfalls and other sights in this charming village. You can relax over dinner and prepare for the hike the next day.

Day 2: 6 Hour Hike

Stop At: Pharmacy Valbona, Rruga Mihal Grameno, Tirana, Albania
After a hearty breakfast, we will commence our 6-hour hike to the village of Valbone. Your guide will meet you at the guesthouse. A picnic lunch and refreshments will be provided on the hike. (Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences, and we will do our best to accommodate them.)

Day 3: Transfer back to Shkoder
