Chaltén experience full day Desert Lake

It starts at 7:30 am in the morning from Calafate, bordering the Argentino Lake, we will cross the Santa Cruz River, then we will continue to the La Leona River, until we arrive after 1 hour 15 minutes, to the old Paso La Leona route hotel , where you can have coffee with homemade cakes, we will continue along Lake Viedma with the Andes Mountains in the background. We will stop at the Viedma Glacier viewpoint from where you can see a beautiful panoramic view of the Glacier, the Cordillera and the emblematic Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. We will arrive at the mountain village of El Chaltén
Once they arrive at Pudú Lodge, passengers will be transferred to another vehicle that will travel along the Cañadón del Río de las Vueltas, on the way. Passengers can walk along the shores of the Desert Lake looking for a nice place to have lunch or they can choose for doing the walk to the Lake and Huemul Glacier. Around 4 pm the return to El Chaltén begins

Stop At: Road to El Chalten, El Chalten Argentina

This is an exclusive expedition that starts at 7:30 am from Calafate.
Tour by route and Navigation along the most important rivers and lakes of Chalten.
El Chaltén is a municipality located in the Los Glaciares National Park, in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. From here it is possible to access the trails that surround the peaks of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy, to the northwest. Near Fitz Roy, a path leads to the viewpoint of the Los Tres Lagoon. Just northwest of the town, the shore of the Capri lagoon offers views of the mountains. San Martín, one of the main streets of the town, is full of shops.

Mount Fitz Roy or Cerro Chaltén, is a mountain of 3405 masl located east of the Southern Patagonian ice field on the border between Argentina and Chile, in Patagonia, near the town of El Chaltén

The river La Leona is a river of Argentina, in which the Viedma lake pours its waters. It is located in the Patagonian province of Santa Cruz.1 On its banks is the small place La Leona.

It is born on Lake Viedma and flows into Lake Argentino. Its waters are milky green due to its glacial origin. He receives this name because at his shore he was attacked by a female cougar (commonly called "lioness")

Stop At: Mirador Lago Viedma, Estancia la Silesia Argentina

Lake Viedma, approximately 80 km long, and an average width of 15 km in the southwest corner of Argentina; It is the longest of the Argentine lakes formed by glacial abrasion.
We will continue to the La Leona River, where we will pass through its canyon until we arrive after 1 hour 15 minutes, to the old Paso La Leona road hotel (almost a Route 40 museum), where you can have coffee with homemade cakes, from there we will continue along Lake Viedma - having the Andes Mountains in the background (Including Fitz Roy and the Tower)

Stop At: Viedma Glacier, Avenida San Martin Libertador Avenue 1037 - El Calafate Offices, El Chalten Z9301ABA Argentina

Before reaching the town we will stop at the Viedma Glacier viewpoint from where you can see a beautiful panoramic view of the Glacier, the Cordillera and the emblematic Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. We will arrive at the village of
El Chaltén mountain after 3 hours of travel, having traveled 220 kms.

Stop At: Lago del Desierto, Argentina

Passengers will be transferred to another vehicle that will travel through the Cañadón del Río de las Vueltas (37 km one way), on the way we will visit the Saltos del Rio de las Vueltas and the Desert Lake (this transfer is done without a guide).
At the end of the tour, passengers can walk along the shores of the Desert Lake looking for a nice place to have lunch or they can choose to make the walk to the Lake and Huemul Glacier
