In a place of incredible natural beauty and odd-looking geological formations, we invite you to paddle and walk the inhospitable Patagonian steppe where the senses are sharpened and the sounds of silence are witnesses of the passage of time.

Stop At: El Calafate, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina

Our excursion begins with the transfer from the hotels in El Calafate, to the starting point of our excursion, at Route N°40 - km 663. There, our professional guides will give a brief safety talk, before starting the tour. You will learn the necessary rowing techniques, as well as the correct use of the equipment. Once ready, we hop on the kayaks to start paddling downstream. We will travel approximately 14 km in our kayaks, until reaching Estancia La Irene (Arroyo Turbio), where the excursion ends.

During the descent down the river, we will be able to appreciate incredible landscapes and the contrast of the ochre colours of the steppe with the turquoise water of glacial origin that fascinated and captivated explorers like Darwin, Moreno and Moyano. Groups of up to 8 people guarantee a personalised service.

Once at the Estancia, we can enjoy a snack with hot drinks to recharge our energy. Return to El Calafate in the afternoon.
