Located 105 km from San Miguel de Tucumán, Tafí del Valle is the entrance to the Calchaquíes valleys and the most important tourist center of the province of Tucumán. In the middle of the mountains at 2,000 meters above sea level, together beautiful landscapes and an ideal climate with cultural attractions such as adobe buildings, stone walls and ceramic crafts. Tafí del Valle offers the possibility of discovering the folklore, the typical dances and the flavors of the regional cuisine, recognized for its cheeses, sweets and dried fruit.

It is the place of the Jesuit San José de Lules, the path of the Yungas, Los Menhires and Tafí del Valle. You will visit the Jesuit chapel and the convent of San José de Lules with a chapel and cloister. Route 307 marks the ascent to the valleys. The road passes through the Los Sosa river ravine, part of the natural reserve of the same name. As you continue you will see the monument El Indio. Above, the entrance to Tafí del Valle is spectacular. Surrounding the La Angostura dam you will visit Los Menhires. Tafi del Valle is 2,000 meters above sea level. Here the Jesuit ensemble of La Banda is preserved, whose oldest section was built by the Jesuits in the first half of the 18th century.
