The Areni Cave dates back to the Chalcolithic to the Bronze Age. Armenians also call it "Birds Cave". In this site, the oldest winery, and the ancient human brain, the remnants of a 5,000-year-old skirt made of straw, and the worlds oldest leather shoe have been discovered. Here you will see the complete proof of the Bible theory of the world creation.

Areni Wine Factory is the very successor of the Armenian wine-production culture. Watered by the waters of Araks river and made by the unique seeds of grape Areni Wine production will impress you with its delicious taste.

Stop At: Noravank Monastery, Areni Armenia
Noravank monastery was founded in the 13th century by Bishop Hovhannes, an abbot famous for his wisdom and love towards God. The monastic complex includes three churches, which are the church of S. Karapet, S. Grigor chapel with a vaulted hall, and the church of Holy Mother of God. You will see many buildings and khachkars (Crosses curved in the stones) around the monastery. Originally it was the residence of renown Orbelyan princes family. The architectural and miniature design dates back up to an early fourteenth century.

"Wings of Tatev" is the longest cable road in the world. It takes 12 minutes to reach Tatev. From the height of 320 meters, you will see the beautiful view of the canyon of the Vorotan river and Old Hermitage.

Tatev monastery is perched on the southern part of village Tatev in Syunik province on the edge of deep canyon of a stream of Vorotan river. According to tradition monastery has taken its name from the disciple of St. Thaddeus, Estate, who preached Christianity and was martyred in Syunik. Still in 5th up to the 8th-century monastery has been a prime center of education and at the end of 8th century became the center of the bishopric of Syunik. The monastery developed rapidly between the 9th and 13th centuries, and at one point had over 1000 people living and studying on its ground. The first church was built in the 4th century. From 895 to 906 Hovhannes bishop has built one of the greatest churches of Armenia called after St. Peter and Paul which has been decorated by frescos in 930. St. Gregory church of monastery has been built in 1046, gates of the monastery in 1087 and the church of St. Mary on it. Fences and other buildings have been built in the 17th century. Monastery has been destroyed from the 1931 earthquake and renewed from 1974 to 1998. The University of the monastery was active up to the 20th century.
