Stop At: Khor Virap, Artashat, Lusarat Armenia
The monastery is located close to the border between Armenia and Turkey, on a hill near the village of Pokr Vedi. Long ago it was the site where Artashat, the ancient Armenian capital, was located.
The pit dungeon is 4.4 m in diameter and 6 m deep. Tourists can descend down using a narrow ladder in order to experience the atmosphere, which is mostly quite dark. Khor Virap Monastery also hosts a theological seminary and a residence of the Armenian Catholicos. There is also the most beautiful view of Mount Ararat and entire Ararat Valley from the monastery.

Noravank means New Monastery in Armenian. However, today this name does not fit, as the monastery is already more than seven centuries old. The beautiful Noravank Monastery was built in the 13th century.

Stop At: Old Khndzoresk, Khndzoresk, Near Goris Armenia
Khndzoresk is a village and rural community in the South-East of Armenia, in the province of Syunik. The village is located to the right of Goris - Stepanakert highway, on the steep slopes of Khor Dzor (Deep Gorge), from which, according to tradition, it got its name. Crossing the bridge at the entrance of the village, the road continues towards the towns of Lachin and Stepanakert. New Khndzoresk (the current inhabited area) was built in the 1950s. The village is located at 1580m above sea level and occupies 6772,8ha. The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population as 2,260 in 2010,[2] up from 1,992 at the 2001 census.

Gandzasar monastery (Armenian: Գանձասարի վանք) is a 10th to 13th century Armenian monastery[1] situated in the Mardakert district of de facto Republic of Artsakh ."Gandzasar" means treasure mountain or hilltop treasure in Armenian. The monastery holds relics believed to belong to St. John the Baptist and his father St Zechariah.
