Itinerary
Day 1: Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur Historic Site
Stop At: Pirates Bay/Eaglehawk Neck, Southeast Tasmania, Tasmania Australia
Your guide will take you in a private vehicle for a drive outside of Hobart through Sorell and Dunalley an amazingly resilient town that was ravaged by a major fire in 2013 and now rebuilt. You will then stop at Pirates Bay Lookout to look at the stunning coastline at beach.

Visit Eaglehawk Neck and its stunning coastal views and rock features such as the Pirates Bay Lookout, Tasmans Arch and Devils Kitchen. Whilst there you will drive past the cute and creative Doo Town with house names such as Dr Doolittle and This ill Doo.

Stop at Federation Artisan Chocolate where you can taste some of their vast range of flavoured chocolate but also see them being made.

Stop At: Port Arthur Historic Site, Arthur Highway, Port Arthur, Tasmania 7182 Australia
You will then travel to the Port Arthur Historic Site to first have lunch then spend some quality time at this World Heritage listed Australian convict site viewing the remains of a convict prison and settlement on the shores of a beautiful deep harbour. Here you will be able to explore their gallery and historic buildings as well as take a harbour cruise and encircle the eerie island graveyard, Isle of the Dead.

Day 2: Huon Valley and Mt Wellington
Stop At: Mount Wellington, Pinnacle Road, Hobart, Tasmania Australia
You will be picked up from your Hobart Accommodation and be taken on a private tour up kunanyi/Mt Wellington, only a 20-minute drive from Hobart which sits 1271 metres above sea level. On a clear day it offers an incredible view of the Derwent river, Bruny Island, South West Wilderness, the entire city of Hobart and surrounding area. The journey up takes you through the beautiful township of Fern Tree and the areas thickly forested Wellington Park.

You will then travel into the rolling hills and rich farming land of Huon Valley, famous for its Apple growing history. You will drive out past Huonville to Geeveston where you will have the opportunity to explore this beautiful town and have lunch.

Stop At: Tahune Forest Airwalk, Southwest TAS 7139, Australia
You will then visit Tahune Airwalk (reopening December 2019) where you will be able to see where the two rivers meet and look out to the remote World Heritage Area.

On the way back to Hobart we will stop at Franks Cider Bar and Cafe for a cider tasting and a chance to look at their apple museum.

Day 3: Derwent Valley, Western Wilds, Queenstown
Stop At: New Norfolk, New Norfolk, Tasmania
Your private guide and vehicle will pick you up at your Hobart accommodation drive into the Derwent Valley towards the west coast. You will stop at New Norfolk and Hamilton and see the rural scenery featuring fields of hops and associated Oast houses, used for drying the hops for beer making.

Next stop is The Wall In The Wilderness at Derwent Bridge in Tasmania's Central Highlands. Created and designed by, Greg Duncan, he has plans to carve the history of the highlands in 100 metres of timber, most of which is on rare Huon Pine timber. The extremely beautiful and uncannily accurate pieces of timber include carvings of horses, thylacines, wombats and timber workers and their families.

Day 4: Gordon River Cruise and Cradle Mountain
Stop At: Gordon River Cruises, 24 Esplanade, Strahan TAS 7468, Australia
The next morning you will take the 5.5 hour Gordon River Cruise from Strahan's waterfront which includes lunch. This cruise takes you out to Hells Gate at the Mouth of the mouth of the Macquarie Harbour before heading back up the Gordon River where you will see World Heritage Temperate Rainforests.

Day 6: Launcestons Cataract Gorge and Tasmania's East Coast

Stop At: Swansea, Swansea, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Tasmania
You will then head to the East Coast to Swansea for lunch.

Stop At: Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay Road, Coles Bay, Freycinet, Tasmania 7215 Australia
You will then drive to Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park where you will walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout (2 hours return) or alternatively drive to Cape Tourville (easy 20 minute 600m circuite walk).

Day 7: Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, Richmond and wine and cheese.
Stop At: Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, 593 Briggs Rd, Hobart, Tasmania 7030 Australia
Take a private guided tour to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, 30 minute drive outside of Hobart and meet their team of wildlife warriors. You will meet their resident wombats, Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, quolls, possums, snakes and a largerange of native birdlife.

You will then stop at Brighton Bakehouse, famous for their Scallop Pies. This will be followed by a drive through the Coal River Valley to the beautiful historic town of Richmond. Here you will see Richmond Bridge, the oldest sandstone bridge still in use in Australia, and St Johns, the oldest Catholic Church.
Take a stroll around and see the villages elegant Georgian architecture and beautiful heritage buildings which are now home to galleries, tea shops, craft boutiques and museums.
