Itinerary

Join The Mobile Observatory for 90 minutes you will never forget, when Australia’s largest mobile telescope for public viewing becomes your window to the universe!

Explore the Orion nebula, discover the hidden stars from the Southern Cross, beautiful star clusters and on a moonless night, perhaps even a galaxy millions of light years away.

And when the moon is up, you won’t believe your eyes when you see first-hand its rugged landscape of frozen lava lakes, craters and mountain ranges in such detail that they seem close enough to touch!

We can only smile when people incredulously exclaim: ‘I can see craters within the craters!’, or when they are fascinated to learn that the faint light from the galaxy they are seeing, has been travelling for millions of years to reach their eyes.
