Dolphin Cruise from Adelaide with Optional Dolphin Swim

Spot dolphins in Holdfast Bay on a dolphin-watching cruise from Adelaide. Setting sail from Glenelg marina on a catamaran, you’ll sail out onto the bay for a 3.5-hour cruise. As thousands of dolphins live in the bay, you’re guaranteed to see these lovable marine mammals. If you want to increase your fun, upgrade to include the chance to swim with them!

Make your own way to the seaside resort of Glenelg on the shores of Holdfast Bay, 6 miles (10 km) from central Adelaide. An easy way to travel there is by tram, running every 15 minutes from Adelaide; the trip takes about 20 minutes (own expense).

When you arrive, board the catamaran at the Marina Pier, just in front of the Oyster Bar, and head off to see dolphins playing in the bay. The wild dolphins love swimming around the boat, so you can be sure of a close-up encounter, whether you’re watching from the boat or swimming in the water.

If you choose the swim with dolphins upgrade, you can spend up to an hour in the water with different pods of dolphins, witnessing their grace underwater and hearing their playful whistles. Holdfast Bay is home to thousands of dolphins, and you have a 100% success rate of spotting them.
