Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome Sunset Drinks with your Guide

Stop At: Fraser Island, Fraser Island, Fraser Coast, Queensland
3.00pm Check-in at the Mainland Ferry Reception at River Heads (courtesy pick-up from Hervey Bay available)
3.30pm Ferry to Fraser Island
4.20pm Meet & greet the Tour Guide on arrival and check-in to accommodation. Sunset session at The Sunset Bar on Kingfisher Bay Resort’s beachfront (first drink on us).
(Please note that sunset drinks will be prior to room check-in during winter to allow for early sunset hour)
Dinner at your choice of restaurants in the resort at your own expense. The Sand Bar is great for casual dining beachside, the Maheno Restaurant (soon to be renamed Sand & Wood) offers a modern share plate menu or try Seabelle Restaurant for an award winning a la carte bush tucker inspired menu.

Guests are welcome to arrive on an earlier ferry to Kingfisher Bay Resort eg 12.30pm ex River Heads and join their guide and fellow tour guests at the Sunset Bar at 4.15pm.

Guests have full access to all Resort facilities at Kingfisher Bay Resort, ie beach, pools, spa in pool, restaurants, bars, Day Spa, General Store and Art Gallery.

No meals included on this day.

Day 2: 75 Mile Beach + Bush Tucker Experience

Stop At: Fraser Island, Fraser Island, Fraser Coast, Queensland
6.30am Buffet Breakfast at Maheno Restaurant
8.00am Tour departs from the General Store.
Tour Highlights today: 75 Mile Beach, the Maheno Shipwreck, The Pinnacles (Coloured Sands); Champagne Pools, Indian Head and Eli Creek.
(timing throughout the day may be altered due to tides)
Picnic lunch on tour along with morning/afternoon refreshments
5.30pm Arrival back at Kingfisher Bay Resort
6.00pm Interactive Bush Tucker experience at the Dingo Bar
from 6.30pm Dinner at your choice of restaurants in the resort at your own expense.

Stop At: S.S. Maheno, Fraser Island QLD 4581, Australia
Washed ashore during a cyclone in 1935, this rusting ruin is one of Fraser Island's iconic photo stops.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Champagne Pools, Waddy Point Bypass, Fraser Island, Queensland 4567 Australia
Walk down a short boardwalk with breathtaking ocean views and chill out at the only location on the eastern beach where saltwater swimming is allowed. Experience the waves meeting with the ocean rock pools to form the champagne bubbles we all love

Stop At: Indian Head, Fraser Island, Queensland 4581 Australia
Climb to the top of this rocky headland for awesome island and ocean views... look out for sharks, rays and migrating humpback whales (Jul - Nov)

Stop At: Eli Creek, 75 Mile Beach Road, Fraser Island, Queensland 4581 Australia
A great spot for a refreshing dip! Float down this fast-flowing freshwater creek using our inflatables. The crystal-clear water pours out 80 megalitres into the ocean daily
Duration: 40 minutes

Day 3: Lake Day + Rainforests

Stop At: Fraser Island, Fraser Island, Fraser Coast, Queensland
6.30am Buffet Breakfast at Maheno Restaurant
8.00am Tour departs from the General Store.
Tour Highlights today: Lake McKenzie, swim in the crystal clear blue freshwater; walk through the rainforest at Central Station (Wanggoolba Creek) and hike into Lake Wabby.
Picnic lunch on tour along with morning/afternoon refreshments
5.00pm Return ferry transfer from the Resort back to the mainland.
5.45pm Arrival time back at River Heads, then courtesy drop-offs in Hervey Bay.

With its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, picture perfect Lake McKenzie is even prettier than the postcards
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Central Station Rainforest, Fraser Island, Queensland Australia
No trains or whistles here - just peaceful, ancient rainforest and the reminders of a former, once bustling logging camp
Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Wanggoolba Creek, Fraser Island, Queensland Australia
Walk along the banks of this silent flowing creek with lush green rainforest and rare king ferns
Duration: 20 minutes
