Private Bruny Island Food and Wine Day Trip From Hobart

Your private guide and car will pick you up and take you south to Kettering where you will take the car ferry across to Bruny Island. Your first stop is Bruny Island Cheese Company where you can sit and enjoy a cheese tasting, have a coffee or sample their beer. Along the road a little further we make a sweet visit with Bruny Island Honey.

You will then visit The Neck, an isthmus of land which connects the north and south of Bruny and you can take the stairs up to the top of the lookout.

Once on the southern end of the island you will visit Bruny Island Chocolate Company the journey south to Bruny Island Premium Wines for lunch and have the opportunity to try their wines and ciders.

After lunch you will stop at Get Shucked Oysters where you can taste some of the freshest and best oysters in Tasmania.

Last stop before the ferry is Bruny Island House of Whisky who make their own whisky and provide tastings and sales for over 110 of Tasmania’s best whiskies.

Your private guide and vehicle will pick you up from your Hobart (or nearby) accommodation or cruise ship terminal (must be 10-12 hours in port) out to Kettering to take the car ferry out to Bruny Island.

Your first stop for the day is Bruny Island Cheese Company, started by Nick Haddow, a fine artisan cheese maker, beermaker and author who features regularly on the Gourmet Farmer. Here you can sit and enjoy a cheese tasting, have a coffee or sample their beer.

Along the road a little further we make a sweet visit with Bruny Island Honey who have been collecting honey from their 400 hives on the island for over 20 years. They produce Prickly Box, Manuka and a variety of other honeys, skincare products and treats. Tastings are free so help yourself.

You will then take the journey further south into the rich farming area of the island to Bruny Island Premium Wines for lunch and have the opportunity to try their wines and ciders.

After lunch there is a stop at Get Shucked Oysters where you have the opportunity to taste some of the freshest and best oysters in Tasmania.
