You will be picked up by your own personal experienced guide and vehicle from your Hobart (or surrounds) accommodation or cruise ship terminal for a 4 hour tour.

You will be taken up kunanyi/Mt Wellington, only a 20-minute drive from Hobart which sits 1271 metres above sea level. On a clear day it offers an incredible view of the Derwent river, Bruny Island, South West Wilderness, the entire city of Hobart and surrounding area. The journey up takes you through the beautiful township of Fern Tree and the areas thickly forested Wellington Park.

In Hobart, you will visit Tasmania’s bean to bar artisan chocolate maker, Federation Chocolate. Here visitors can view the chocolate being made from the cacao beans right through to their handmade bars, praline and truffle chocolates.

You will then head into the Coal River Valley to the historic Richmond Village where you will visit Richmond Bakery, famous for its delicious Scallop Pies. Following lunch, you will take a stroll around and see the villages elegant Georgian architecture and beautiful heritage buildings which are now home to galleries, tea shops, craft boutiques and museums.

Whilst in Richmond you will visit Sweets and Treats where you can buy from a large array of old-style and modern lollies from Tasmania, Australia and around the world. A big highlight is a visit to see the friendly ducks gathered around the Richmond Bridge and St John’s Catholic Church, both famous for being the oldest of its type in use in Australia.

Next the tour takes you to visit Wicked Cheese Company where you can see their cheese being made, enjoy free tastings and peruse their provedore shop. You will then head back towards Hobart to the eastern shore of Hobart to Rosny Lookout so you can get the perfect shot of Hobart nestled beneath the majestic kunyani/Mt Wellington.
