The tour then ventures out of Benalla into country areas which contain small towns with wheat silos from another era. These silos now are used by artists as their canvas. Wall Art in Benallas and surrounding districts is extremely high quality with artist both local and from around the world being invited to participate each year in the Wall Art Festival. St James Silo Art was painted by artist Timothy Bowtel. The old trucks carrying wheat and the mural of George Coles who started the Coles chain dominate the local landscape. Beautifully painted and on a huge scale.
