The Roman Catholic Hofkirche is located in the center of Innsbruck, on the edge of the old town. It is also called the Franciscan Church or the Schwarzmander Church. It was built in the years 1553 to 1563 as a site for the tomb of Emperor Maximilian I.

The Hofburg in Innsbruck is a residence built and occupied by the Habsburgs. The present state is based on the extensions under Empress Maria Theresia in Rococo style and is partially to visit.
