Shakhi City is also famous with its carpetmaking history, which hundreds of years old Shamakhi Carpets are exhibited in the museum of Turkey, Germany, and the USA. One of the most ancient mosques in Azerbaijan that survived until today is in Shamakhi. The mosque called Juma Mosque and dates back to year 743. You can also visit the 7 Gumbaz Mausoleum Complex to see the graves of the Royal family members of the kings of Shamakhi. Stop At: Diri Baba Mausoleum, Qobustan Azerbaijan

The first stop in your Trip will be the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Maraza settlement. The Diri Baba Mausoleum stands in a square construction on a glyptic cliff. Two storeyed building has been built in the year 1402. Local residents in Maraza believes that in the Diri Baba Mausoleum one sacred person was buried and his body remained imperishable due to his holiness. That is why the name of the mausoleum is Diri Baba which literally means Alive Grandfather.

Stop At: Juma Mosque, Nariman Narimanov St., Shamakhi Azerbaijan

After the Diri Baba, you will visit the Shamakhi Juma Mosque which built in year 743 and is one of the most ancient mosques built in the territory of Azerbaijan.

Stop At: Yeddi Gumbaz Mausoleum, DNdN Qorqud St., Shamakhi 5600 Azerbaijan

Then you will visit the 7 Gumbaz Mausoleum. It is the mausoleum complex that was built in 17-18th centuries and is known as graves of royal family members of Shamakhi Khanate.

Stop At: Lahic Guest House, Lahich, Azerbaijan

Then you will proceed to the Lahij Village. The village is located 1375 m above the sea level. On the way, you will stop at the rope bridge and take the photos on it. After the reaching, the village you will have a walking tour in the main street of Lahij will have a chance to speak with local residents of the village, visit the copper craft and many other shops which you can buy handmade souvenirs, herbs, carpets, and many more items. Also, you will visit the old Museum of Local History in Lahij.
